Game Rankings

You don't need the IQ of a genius to get started. Just memorize some of the hand rankings and play for a couple of hours. You may be surprised just how good you can get in a short space of time.

To help you, Royal Vegas Poker has provided a list of the hand rankings so you can keep track of the value of your hand.

The hand rankings are the same throughout all poker games. If two people have the same hand, the person with the highest card in the rank will win the pot. It's important to note that the individual card values change, depending on the game you're playing.

You may want to print out the following rankings so you can keep them 'at hand' while you play!

Royal Flush Straight flush with the high card being an ace

Straight Flush Five sequential cards of the same suite with the high card being less than an ace

Four-of-a-kind Four cards of the same value

Full House Three cards of the same value and a separate pair of cards of the same value

Flush Five cards of the same suite

Straight Five cards with sequential values

Three-of-a-kind Three cards with the same value

Two Pair Two separate pairs of cards with the same value

Pair Two cards of the same value

High Card No other combination, the value of the highest card wins
